7 players on each team ( 3 chasers,1 keeper,2 beaters and 1 seeker )
The Chasers (known are Katie Bell, Angelina Johnson and Alicia Spinnet) throw the football-sized, red Quaffle to each other trying to get it through one of the six hoops.
10 points are given every time the Quaffle goes through a hoop.
The Keeper (Oliver Wood) flies around their teams hoops trying to stop the other team from scoring.
The Beaters (the Weasley twins) protect their side from the 2 black Bludgers (these are slightly smaller than the Quaffle) that try to knock players off their broomsticks. The Beaters protect their team by hitting the Bludgers towards the other team with small clubs.
The Seeker (Harry) has to weave in and out of other players and balls attempting to catch the walnut-sized, winged Golden Snitch. 150 points are awarded and the game ends. Thus catching the Golden Snitch almost guarantees victory.
